Whether you're restoring a genuine California Special or giving a standard 1968 Mustang the aggressive appearance of a GT/CS, these lower side scoops provide an effective way to transform the side profile of the car. The lower side scoops are a defining visual feature of the 1968 Mustang California Special. These fiberglass reproductions are designed to replicate the distinctive shape and placement of the original-style California Special lower quarter-panel scoops.

Unlike functional Shelby-style scoops, these units are non-functional, making them an excellent choice for a restoration or appearance-focused build where the goal is to achieve the classic California Special appearance without adding brake cooling ducts.

The scoops are manufactured from fiberglass and require preparation and fitting before final installation, as is typical with fiberglass reproduction body components.

Designed for 1968 Mustang Quarter Panels

These lower scoops are designed around the quarter-panel contours of the classic Mustang and install on the forward portion of the quarter panel, immediately behind the door opening. Similar reproduction versions are also commonly used on 1967 Mustangs, although the California Special styling originated with the 1968 model.
