Later first-generation Mustangs are heavier and larger than earlier models, and QA1 designed this system specifically to manage that added mass. The front coilover suspension improves suspension geometry and steering response, while the triangulated four-link rear suspension replaces the factory leaf springs to eliminate axle wrap, reduce wheel hop, and dramatically increase rear-end stability. Together, these upgrades deliver improved balance, predictable handling, and better traction under acceleration and braking.

Fully Adjustable Pro-Touring Performance

At the heart of the Level 2 system are double-adjustable QA1 Pro Coil shocks, allowing independent tuning of compression and rebound. This adjustability gives you complete control over ride quality and performance, making it easy to dial in a comfortable street setup or a firmer, more aggressive suspension for spirited driving, autocross, or track events.

The front suspension components bolt directly to the factory mounting points, retaining the original shock towers for a clean, OE-style appearance with no cutting or permanent modifications required. The rear four-link system does require welding, but QA1’s self-fixturing brackets are engineered to simplify installation, ensuring accurate alignment and consistent geometry for reliable performance.
