This new fiberglass hood from Stang-Aholics is designed to fit all body styles of the 1969 or 1970 Ford Mustang. This 69 - 70 Hood is the same length of the stock steel hood and does not require the 69/70 Mustang owner to change the stock Mustang front end sheet metal. The hood will even allow for the installation of the stock Mustang front hood trim! (Sold Separately). This high quality fiberglass hood also features steel reinforcements which accept the stock bolts at the hinge and latch areas for strength. The hood is completely hand laid and features smooth under-bracing for a high quality show finish on both the top and bottom of the hood. This hood is also made with some of the highest quality Raw materials available. It is made with Marine quality ISO resins and tooling gels for superior strength and durability even in the harshest climates and temperatures. This means the hood will not bow, sag or warp like many lower quality fiberglass parts will. The scoop openings will also be cut open to allow fresh air into the engine compartment. PLEASE NOTE: Hood Pins must Always be used with Fiberglass hoods for safety.
Special Notes
Almost 2 months of R & D and fabrication work went into making this hood! To make this custom fiberglass hood a 71 - 73 NASA style dual scoop hood skin was adapted and formed to fit on an OE 69 Mustang hood and under bracing. Then, the shape of many parts of the skin was modified and changed to fit the lines, fenders and cowl of the 69-70 Mustang front end. This custom hood is hand-made with the same level of craftsmanship as all the Stang-Aholics fiberglass parts. During the production process skilled craftsmen use the highest quality raw materials with Marine ISO resins and tooling gels for exceptional strength and longevity. This fiberglass hood is steel reinforced at the hinge and latch mounting points and all mounting holes are drilled and tapped to accept the stock mounting bolts.
