Wilwood Front and Rear Disc Brake Upgrade kit for 65-66 Mustang, 12.19 Drilled/Slotted Rotors with Dynalite 4 Piston Calipers

This Big Front and Rear disc Brake kit provides the added advantage of larger diameter brake rotors for traditional non-ABS spindles on 65 - 66 Classic Mustangs! These Wilwood Disc Brakes feature Forged billet Dynalite calipers, 12.19” diameter Cross Drilled and Slotted rotors, and high performance Wilwood brake pads that all help to generate big brake stopping power to compliment wheel, tire, and suspension upgrades on all types of classic Mustangs. The Rear Disc Brake Kit features a neatly hidden internal shoe Parking brake system which provides a clean installation with superior static holding power for parking. Kit Also includes Braided Flex front brake lines and fittings and Rear parking brake cables and all fittings to attach to the assembly.

Wheel Clearance Notes: Will Clear MOST 16 Inch and Larger Wheels, MAY Clear some 15 Inch Wheel Designs, please use the Wheel Clearance Diagrams shown in the additional product images on this page to confirm your wheels will clear these brake assemblies. 

 

The REAR Brake Kit is offered for 3 different Rear Axle Flanges, PLEASE SEE THE VIDEO TAB ABOVE AND THE DOCUMENTS TAB FOR MEASUREMENT INSTRUCTIONS

INSTALL NOTE: When converting from drum brakes to to disc brakes a new Master Cylinder is required.  The Wilwood Tandem Aluminum Master Cylinder is great looking all-in-one solution.  They are available in 3 finishes; Bare, Black E-Coat and Media Burnished.  Bore size selection is important to create the desired pedal feel, we have found the information below to be a good rule of thumb.  

  • 11″-12″ rotors with Manual Brakes – 15/16″ Bore
  • 11″-12″ rotors with Power Brakes – 1″ Bore
  • 13-14″ rotors with Manual Brakes – 7/8″ Bore
  • 13-14″ rotors with Power Brakes – 1″ Bore
