General Backspace Tip: Typical Backspace for a 1965-73 Classic Mustang with a 8 Inch Wide Wheel and STOCK front and/or rear track width is 4.5 inches or 4.75 Inches. We give this as a good rule of thumb, however, backspace requirements could vary if your Mustang has an aggressively lowered stance than stock or a different front or rear track width than stock.
