The transmission kick-down cable works to shift the transmission to a lower gear automatically when the engine RPM is increased or otherwise accelerated. A kick-down cable comes installed as standard on any vehicle. This kick-down cable kit is designed to used with an AOD transmission in the early 65 - 70 Model Year Mustang and converted to an AOD (Automatic Overdrive) transmission, designed to only be used with a carbureted Motor.
INSTALL NOTE: To help finish your install, you will also find the throttle TV Bracket kits on this page that are designed to work with either the Edelbrock or Holey Style Carbs and throttle arms.
