64 - 70 Mustang TCP Convertible Sub Frame Connector System

TCP Weld-in Subframe Connectors Are Designed to work on Convertible 65 66 67 68 69 and 70 Mustangs. Connectors Are Constructed From 2 X 2 X .083 Inch Wall Boxed Tubing With A Single Mandrel Bend To Tightly Follow The Contour Of The undercarriage. The tubes are Finished in a quality black powder coat. Installs with included hardware to bolt into the undercarriage of your convertible Mustang. This subframe connector system is designed to reinforce the unibody of your Convertible Mustang to limit the amount of body flex and movement that is present in the stock unibody design. These subframe connectors will help to keep body gaps even and help to reduce unwanted flex that can negatively effect suspension systems as well.

These Sub Frame connectors are designed to work on the 65-70 Mustang Convertible models. The convertible center chassis connector support uses a 3-Point mounting system that ties into the factory torque-box -reinforcement plate.

Connectors are constructed from 2 x 2 x .083? wall boxed tubing with a single mandrel bend to tightly follow the contour of the undercarriage and to better visually blend with the factory subframes. The ends of each connector are completely sealed by the 7 gauge-formed sheet metal mounts. Both front and rear mounts extend to the height of their respective attachment points to place the securing weld at the strongest point of the factory subframe. Mounting holes are pre-drilled for the simple installation of our available connector supports.

Installation Note: Fits 64-70 Mustang Convertible Models Only. The center 3-Point chassis stiffener mounts to the subframe connectors and ties into the factory torque-box-reinforcement plate in the front. Stock 64-68 Convertible Lower Reinforcement plate is shown on this page in the recommended product section.
