65 - 66 Mustang 67 'GTRS' Fiberglass Hood with shelby style dual Hood scoop and Carbon Fiber Vents inserts

This is a Stang-Aholics exclusive!! This Fiberglass Hood has the dual opening Functional Hood Scoop along with Functional Carbon Fiber Vent inserts designed to fit a 1965 - 1966 Ford Mustang. This hood is great for giving your 65 - 66 Mustang a more unique aggressive Muscle car look! The hood has steel reinforcement plates molded into the under bracing to give strength at the hinge and latch mounting points. These points are also drilled and tapped so you can use your stock hood hinge and hood latch mounting hardware. The hood is hand-laid and Marine quality resins and tooling gels are used to yield a fiberglass part that is very strong and durable.

This fiberglass hood has an exceptional fit and finish! The expert fiberglass technicians spent many hours in R&D to make sure this hood would fit VERY WELL with your stock 64 - 66 Mustang fenders and cowl.

INSTALLATION NOTES: Hood is the Same Length as the STOCK metal hood so it works with the 1964 - 1966 Mustang's stock headlight surrounds/extensions and the STOCK Lower Valance OR our GTRS Custom lower front valance!

Hood is steel reinforced at the Stock Hinge and hood latch mounting points. However, we ALWAYS recommend the use of hood pins with fiberglass hoods. We also recommend that you do not use your stock hood hinge springs because this fiberglass hood is lighter than the stock metal hood. We offer lighter tension springs or a prop rod that you can use with this hood (See Below).

Scoop Dimensions on Top of Hood: Length from the back edge of the hood is: 31 3/4 inches, Width is 26 inches.

Note About Clearances: Because this hood does not have cross-bracing and it has the scoop, it will give you about 1.5 - 2 Inches Additional Clearances in the scoop area when compared to a Stock Steel Hood.
